The process is the point
I used to think there was a finish line. Hit the number, build the thing, get the body, and then — then — you get to enjoy it. Some version of life where everything is finally dialed in and you just coast.
Twenty years of chasing that taught me it doesn't exist. Every summit has another ridge behind it. The people I admire most aren't the ones who arrived; they're the ones who fell in love with the climbing.
So I stopped optimizing for arrival. The morning run isn't for a race. The reading isn't for a test. The building isn't for an exit. It's reps, because the reps are the life.
If you're grinding toward some imagined 'after' — this is your reminder that the after is made of the same days you're living right now. Make the days good. The process is the point.
